There are many good books on the subject of grief in print today. Some focus on loss in general, while others concentrate on specific areas, such as the death of a son or daughter. There are books expressly written for mothers who have lost a child and several are written exclusively for fathers. To the best of my knowledge, no book is available that speaks solely to the surviving mothers and fathers whose son or daughter died while serving in the military.
I committed to write Military Parents: We Regret to Inform You to fill this void and provide the thousands of grief-stricken parents with a credible resource that understands the unique nature and complications of a military death.
No book will ever cover all that you want to know, for no book can speak completely to your personal loss and unique situation. I know this from experience as a military survivor myself.
To the right are some suggested topics that other surviving parents want included in this book. Please help me make it all that you need it to be by sending your thoughts on other important topics my way. Click here to send inputs.
